University of Sannio

 The University of Sannio is organized in 4 Faculties, Engineering, Economics, Law and Natural Sciences, providing 12 BSc, 12 MSc. and 5 Ph.D. courses to about 8000 enrolled students. Within the Dept of Engineering, the research group on Signal Processing and Measurement Information has a long history of applied research and technology transfer as well as of collaboration and educational exchanges with foreign countries. These activities have been mainly financed by
  • the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research on the National Operating Programme 2000-2006 (2 infrastructure projects) and the Internationalization Programme (2 teacher exchange projects with Croatia and Slovakia);
  • the EU on the Leonardo LLP (2 knowledge transfer projects);
  • the Italian Ministry of Economy (1 project on innovation technology transfer in the measurement field). The achieved results have been published on several international journals.

   B4ENG 
 B4Eng sas is a small company, based in TOULOSE, which counts about fifteen staff units (as operational branch of the Italian company “DESA Engineering” of 50 people). B4Eng operates in the French aerospace market that is always more competitive, where tools and technologies are continuously evolving. Each working group of B4Eng has full responsibility over the assigned tasks, with the aim to pursue the best possible results within the given budget and time frame.

   Université d'Evry

 The Université d'Evry is a multidisciplinary university created in 1991 as part of the development of Higher Education in Ile de France and as part of the devolution of Parisian universities. The UNIEVRY is located in an expanding area and offers general academic programs as well as preprofessional programs designed to meet the economic and social needs of the surrounding area. 03 WAT 1 Military University of Technology

The Military University of Technology (MUT) in Warsaw is a state polytechnical school at a university level founded in 1951. MUT offers both for military and civilian students high quality undergraduate and postgraduate studies leading to Bachelor’s, Master’s and DSc degree as well as specialistic short time courses. MUT participates in many international students exchange programmes, such as Erasmus+. In 2004 MUT has introduced the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), enabling alternative studies for the students both at Polish and foreign universities. In the academic year 2014/15 over 10.000 students studied at MUT in more than 50 disciplines, and they were educated by highly qualified research and teaching staff, among them there were 90 professors and 511 Ph.D. supported by over than 200 assistants and instructors. Nowadays there are 2115 employees in University who work in Headquarters of MUT and its Faculties.
MUT is also major research centre in Poland, conducts scientific research, implementation and modernisation within the scope of technology, chemistry, physics, economics and military applications. Numerous inventions, innovations, patents and prestigious rewards both in Poland and abroad confirm the high level of scientific work. MUT also cooperates with institutes from more than 20 countries and participates in a number of international research projects and programme. MUT´s budget for research (2013): 103 mln PLN. The worth of research infrastructure: 858.5 mln PLN and special equipment: 119 mln PLN.
MUT was one of the first institutions in Poland that conducted scientific researches in the area of drones development and usage. Department of Avionics and Air Armament at Faculty of Mechatronics and Aerospace, in a cooperation with a small enterprise, established last year a drone operator’s teaching course. The course allows to achieve an UAVO license required in Poland for a commercial usage of drones. 


   Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati 

In the autumn of 1948, the Faculty of Land Planning was founded in Galati - the first in the country with this profile. In the years 1951, 1955 and 1959 new faculties were established such as the Agronomic, Polytechnic and Education Institutes. Galati status of higher education centre was due to the economic and cultural components of the city and county, the history of which has been inextricably linked with the Danube River. Galati provided engineering staff for six areas of national interest and unique until 1990 in the Romanian higher education: Land Development, Land Measurement, Shipbuilding, Food and Fisheries Technology, all curricula, courses and reference materials being entirely designed by the Galati an university academic staff. In 1974, by Decree no. 5 of 20 March, the Pedagogical Institute and the Polytechnics were merged into the University of Galati.
“Dunărea de Jos" University of Galaţi has 14 faculties and prepares students for bachelor, master and PhD degrees in various fields (technical, humanistic, economic, health, art).
The University is the most important institution of higher education in the South - Eastern part of Romania, with over 12.500 students annually in recent years, being the centre of technical, scientific, cultural and social progress with immediate or medium to long term applicability, meant primarily to contribute to the progress of Galati. In this respect, „Dunărea de Jos" University works closely with the socio - economic community providing the specialists it needs while providing consulting and technical solutions to current issues.    Asociatia UVS

UVS ROMÂNIA Association is a legal entity without patrimonial purpose, with non-governmental and non-political character, established in February 07, 2012, founded having as a main purpose to promote research, development, production and use of autonomous vehicles (UVS), to elaborate of proposals for regulation in the field of UVS in Romania, as well as to attract any interest groups. During the 4 years of activity, the UVSR Association's leadership tried to better publicize the UVS field, in particular that of UAVs. UVS ROMANIA fully encouraged the participation of our members in UVS workshops, conferences, exhibitions, events & demonstrations. 

A group of UVSR members, members of the Romanian Parliament, elaborated and publicly presented a legislative initiative that was meant to bring the UAVs among the legally recognized aerial vehicles, in Romania. Also, we have set up an on-line documentary database constantly updated with data relating to the field of UVS, with general information on the scope of the specific missions/applications, on existing legal entities nationally and internationally with concerns and responsibilities in the field of UVS, as with news on the related grants, competitions and events, etc.

As an expression of opening internationally our activity, in 2014 we affiliated to UVS INTERNATIONAL.


Moldova State University

 

Moldova State University (MSU) is the oldest and biggest University in Moldova with broad range of study programmes and research area. MSU nowadays comprises 13 faculties with the academic offer consisting of over 60 BSc. degree programmes, 64 MSc. and 66 PhD study programmes. The university has a total enrolment of ca. 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
The research process at the USM is the fundamental component of the academic process and the USM is placed among the top spots in the national ranking. University scientific research is a complex activity as the objectives training of future researches, development of creativity, support of innovation, establishment of international cooperation. Presently, the research at the USM is carried out in the framework of 10 accredited research profiles: theoretical and applied mathematics; current issues of applied computer science; physics and technology of materials, structures, semiconducting optoelectronic devices; technologies and new materials with properties useful for the national economy; biological security and rational use of the natural resources; theoretical and applied linguistics, history and theory of literature; archaeology, interethnic and international relations; contemporary legal issues in the Republic of Moldova; modernization of higher education in the Republic of Moldova in the context of European integration etc. Today, the research in the USM is conducted in the 59 departments, 6 research centers, and 20 research laboratories. The research potential of the USM is about 1400 teaching and research staff, including 90 doctors habil. and 400 doctors of sciences. On July 17, 2015 Moldova State University had been granted the HR Excellence in Research award.


  Civil Aviation Authority

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is the central specialized, executive, coordinating and control body of the Public Administration in the field of civil aviation, subordinated to Government. The CAA takes decisions of administrative character, approves regulations, norms, instructions and other normative acts obligatory for natural and legal persons who perform their activity in the field of civil aviation.
The CAA is responsible for the following:

  • Issuance of the authorizations for execution of the scheduled and non-scheduled flights;
  • Drafting and implementation of the international agreements in the field of civil aviation;
  • Control, issuance, validation, suspension and revocation of the Airworthiness certificates of the aircrafts and other aeronautical engineering;
  • Certification and monitoring of airdromes operation (airports) and of other services, as well as ground systems;
  • Drafting, coordination and implementation of the national aeronautical security program;
  • Issuance, validation, suspension and revocation of the certifying documents of the aeronautical personnel, air operator certificates (authorizations), aeronautical agent certificates (authorizations), authorization for operation of an air route, certifying documents of the technical means used in the field of civil aviation.

 

Academy "Stefan cel Mare" of Ministry of Internal Affairs (Police Academy) Academy 

The “Stefan cel Mare” Academy (ACAPOL) is the subdivision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Moldova (RM). Its priority aims are training and improvement of the professional staff of the internal affairs bodies with the purpose of prevention and efficient fighting crime. It is the only higher education institution of the MIA. First by the Resolution of the RM Government, in 1990 was founded The National Police Academy “Stefan cel Mare”. The Government Resolution from 2002 established the Academy named “Stefan cel Mare” of MIA of the RM. The Academy is the highest academic institution, whose purpose - to provide education and training in secondary and tertiary structure of bodies and units of the Interior Ministry with higher legal education, and a number of other ministries and departments of the RM. Till 2007 the higher education was provided by the Law Faculty. Pursuant to the modernization of educational system in Republic of Moldova and the Actions-Plan RM-EU, for the first time in the history of Academy, on September 1st, 2007 was founded the Security and Public Order Faculty. Currently the Academy structure includes: Police Science Faculty, 5 chairs, 4 departments, centers, services and bureaus, correspondence department, the department on a contract basis. At the Academy successfully functions Scientific - Research Center whose purpose is the scientific study of methods and measures in the fight against crime as well as studying the problems of enforcement and Interior Ministry of RM. Academy organized the training and re-training of scientific and pedagogical staff at the doctoral and master's degree. There is a scientific seminar on specialty 12.00.08. - Criminal Law, as well as scientific council in the same specialty. Our institution cooperates with many national and international organizations and institutions in the field of police training and joint research with implementation of the results in teaching. ACAPOL by Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova on March 5, 2012 was awarded the highest State Order – “Stefan cel Mare”, as a sign of appreciation for their outstanding achievements in the improvement of higher education in law, for his significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.


   State Agrarian University of Moldova

The State Agrarian University of Moldova (SAUM) is a unique Institution in area of agriculture in the country. During its existence, SAUM has trained for 85 countries more than 1,000 professionals in agricultural sector. Nowadays in the university have study 6000 of students under the guidance of qualified didactic staff on 8 faculties: Agronomy, Horticulture, Accountancy, Veterinary Medicine, Animal husbandry and biotechnologies, Agricultural Engineering and Auto Transportation, Cadaster and Low, Economy. It has a rich infrastructure which includes 9 teaching buildings, 14 student residences, laboratories, experimental didactic stations, the Republican Agricultural Scientific Library, a computer center etc.
SAUM is member of different international organization: European University Association (EUA) (since 1995); Council of Rectors of the leading agricultural universities in the CIS (since 1995); Agency of the Francofon Universities (AUF) (since 1997); International Association "Agrarian University Complex" (Since 2013); Danube Rectors’ Conference (DRC) (since 2014).
University’s research efforts are focused on supporting sustainable agriculture and agri-food security, to elaborate the legal aspects in the development of local trade, to create new plants varieties and hybrids, local varieties, animal and poultry cross breeds, improved breeds of farm animals, to expand intensive orchards and vineyards, to modernize new agricultural machinery, equipment, devices, composite materials, pharmaceutical products, etc.
The subdivisions of SAUM operate in different fields, with budgetary and extra budgetary funding, based on research contracts with the economic agents from the rural and industrial environment, or governmental institutions. Those activities placed our university among the leading scientific centers of the country.
SAUM continuously promotes the provisions of Bologna Process and to this end it is implementing the three levels degree system (BSc., MSc. and Ph.D.), the ECTS and an internal system that ensures quality.
Since 2011 SAUM is holding the quality management certificate ISO 9001: 2008, being re-certified in 2014.


   Academy of Public Administration

The Academy of Public Administration (hereinafter referred to as the – APA), is a state higher education institution which operates as a national center for promoting state policy in the field of public administration, for training civil service personnel as well as for providing scientific and methodological support to the activity of public authorities. The mission of APA is to train and develop civil servants and other categories of specialists from public authorities and institutions. The Academy was established by Presidential Decree on May 21, 1993, in order to promote state policy in the field of public administration, to train and develop civil servants of all levels. The training concept within the Academy corresponds to national and international education standards. The training activity and scientific research in the Academy is realized within 2 departments: Higher Education and Professional Development, 5 specialty chairs (Legal Sciences Chair, Administrative Sciences Chair, Economics and Management Chair, Political Sciences Chair and Applied IT Chair) and the Department of Scientific and International Cooperation. The Academy has a scientific library with a rich background of books and electronic resources, an Editorial Department. APA has an extensive experience in the field of professional development for public administration staff. Therefore, since its establishment approximately 27 thousand officials from central and local public authorities have improved their performance by participating in APA professional development courses. The main categories of local public authority officials who participated in the training courses are: ministers, deputy ministers, presidents and vice-presidents of districts, secretaries of district councils, heads of subdivisions, specialists from the president of rayon / district councils’ apparatus, mayors, vice-mayors of cities / villages / communes, secretaries of district councils, local councils.


   Armenian State University of Economics

The foundation of Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) goes back to 1930. The largest economic institution in Armenia with more than 30.000 alumni, Armenian State University of Economics is also the most distinguished government based economic university in Armenia. The University is a member of Association of Economic universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region. ASUE offers Bachelor's, Master's and PhD Programs in Management, Finance, Marketing and Business Management, Computer Science and Statistics, Accounting and Auditing, and boasts more than 7.500 students, 18 specialties and many specializations. Each year around 2.200 students are admitted to ASUE. ASUE has recently established "Amberd" Research centre with three main directions:

  1. “National Security Research” Program.
  2. “National Competitiveness and Internationalization of Research” Program.
  3. “Socio-Economic Research” Program.

ASUE is implementing 10 Erasmus+ KA1 projects in cooperation with Athens University of Economics, University of Economics, Varna, University of Tartu, etc., Quality assurance Department of the University in currently involved in 8 Tempus programs, among them-Enhancing Students Participation in Quality Assurance in Armenian HE (ESPAQ), Structural Development of the Third Cycle based on Salzburg Principles (VERITAS), Fostering Autonomy and Accountability: Development of State-of-the-art HE Management System for Efficient Changes in Line with Bologna Principles (GOVERN), Promoting Educational Organisation through people (PEOPLE), etc. One of the Tempus Program - Ararat is coordinated by Armenian State University of Economics.
ASUE also has established joint business school – British School of Business with British "Globe Education Ltd" associated partner of which is Anglia Ruskin University.


   National Polytechnic University of Armenia

National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA), the legal successor of State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), has been founded in 1933 as Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. It was and remains the premier provider of technological education in the country. NPUA has over 10,000 students at all 3 study cycles. The number of academic staff exceeds 900, most of them holding doctoral degrees. The specialization scope of NPUA includes more than 50 Bachelor’s, about 40 Master’s and 35 PhD specializations in Engineering, Industrial Economics and Management, Applied Mathematics and Industrial Sociology. During the years of its existence, the University has given nearly 120 thousand graduates who have contributed greatly to the development of the industry forming engineering manpower and technology base of Armenia.
NPUA plays a leading role in reforming the higher education system in Armenia: the first HEI in RA introduced two and three level higher education systems, implemented ECTS and strategic planning. Has developed an extended network of international cooperation including many EU leading universities and research centers. The University is a member of EUA and other international associations and networks; is involved in many international academic/research programs including over 15 Tempus and Erasmus Mundus projects.


   Belarusian State Technological University

Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) houses 10 faculties, 52 departments, 5 affiliated colleges, 20 affiliated departments at large enterprises and organizations of Belarus, 29 research and development laboratories, 34 educational, research and production centres. The University is a major scientific and research centre actively developing more than 60 fundamental and applied research trends. 16 research and education schools of national, CIS and international recognition have been established and are operating at the University. In 2011 the BSTU started the training of the masters in Property Management with the use of the distant learning technologies. This is a joint project with the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and BSTU is the only higher educational establishment in Belarus that trains masters in Property Management.
In 2014 BSTU has organised a training, research and manufacturing Centre. One of the organizations of this centre is the National Cadaster Agency of Belarus that is the leading Belarusian organisation in the fields of State Cadaster, formation of land, mass appraisal and land management. One more organization is the Belarusian UIIP NAS that is the leading organization in Belarus in geoinformation systems, cartographic systems and Space informatics. The joint work of the partners of the Centre allows BSTU to provide the training in the fields of the latest technologies application in land and real estate management.
The Department of Production Organization and Real Estate Economics (BSTU) analyzes the issues of drones application within the scope of land administration, in particular:

  • land-use monitoring based on data sharing of Belarusian space system of earth remote sensing, airborne and drone-borne sensors;
  • data provided by drones and other earth remote sensing apparatus is integrated into the national land cadastre data for monitoring purposes;
  • the above mentioned data is integrated into a specialized Web-GIS with Voluntary Geographical Information (VGI);
  • drone data are used to correct errors of land administration and mass formation of real estate assets to have them registered in the national cadastre.

Practice-oriented field-specific training of students is done at the BSTU scientific-practical centre “Geomonitoring”.


   Ilia State University

  Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

The first Georgian university established in 1918 by Ivane Javakhishvili and a group of his followers is the symbol of civilization, democracy and identity of the Georgian state; its goal is to provide students with the best possible education and promote their national thinking, as well as to integrate into a uniform European educational and scientific space.
To maintain high standards achieved during its century-old existence, TSU strives to be the best in both research and educational spheres. As the leader of Georgia’s higher education, TSU has assumed a huge mission – to maintain, create and disseminate education.
TSU has the students up to 24 000. Provides three stage education – Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral Levels. TSU remains to be the top choice for university entrants throughout Georgia. This is because TSU always tries to be the innovative and student-oriented university.
TSU is the participant of various TEMPUS projects. It has a huge experience in achieving the set goals and developing its capabilities.


   Belarusian State University

BSU is a classical public university ranked as the leading university in Belarus. BSU offers Higher Education Programs in 56 specialities and 256 specializations, Master Programs in 47 specialities, and PhD Programs in 114 specialities. With 16 Faculties and 4 Educational Institutes, over 40 R&DLabs, 7 R&D Institutes and 6 Innovative spin-off companies BSU is an integral educational and research complex with solid expertise and focus on applied research, new technologies and its applications in industry and science. Three key units to be involved into the project are:
1. Institute of Physics and Aerospace Technologies focusing on interdisciplinary R&D in the GIS based Early Warning Environmental and Industrial Systems, Remote Monitoring, Optoelectronics, Bio medical Systems, Nano and Biophotonics, Bioinformatics, Laser Physics and delivering educational programmes for bachelor, master and PhDs. The institute includes Research laboratory of Applied Space Technologies, Aerospace Educational Center. Capacities of the Institute includes hardware for remote monitoring in the ranges: radiofrequency, L-band, X-band, ozone remote monitoring station, lidar systems, optical spectrometric, fiber optical, and microwave measuring equipment; direct access to remote sensing data from Belarusian remote sensing satellite; licensed software ERDAS Imagine, INVI, Leika Photogrammetry, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Matlab with Toolboxes etc.
2. Department of Nuclear Physics focusing on interdisciplinary R&D in the field of environment safety from nuclear power stations and liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident. The Dept.’s areas of exploration are: spectrometry and dosimetry of nuclear radiation, inter disciplinary image processing from remote sensing till medical data, GIS based control systems for environment safety from ionizing radiation, modeling of control and safety systems of nuclear power plants.
3. Department of Geodesy and Cartography: focusing on interdisciplinary R&D in GIS and Remote Monitoring based Environmental Systems. The Dept. expertise includes development of ground information-reference calibration landfill "Western Berezina" for ground support complex sub-satellite experiments, flight test instrumentation and calibration targets for Belarusian spacecraft (BKA).
